Hi my name is Terri, and I just got a new family addtion. A gelding gaited horse. He is ridable as I have rode him, and he is gentle once he is caught. But he is a royal pain when being caught. I believe he is a young horse, and he has not been messed with alot. (I had first thought that he was abused but have since revised this and have decided that he is half wild.) He has a lot of things that need to be worked out, and I know it means a lot of work, but I firmly believe that he will be worth it. Do you have any tips on how to get him easier to catch? I am currently keeping him in a stalled because he is so hard, and I hate the fact that I have to keep him stalled like that. I do take him out (weather permitting) twice a day and take him for a walk. I also guess you need to know that I have only had him since last Friday, and that the man I bought him from did not know much about this geldings history. I have also made an appointment with a vet to come give him his shots.

Thank you for any suggestions you may have.
