Nov 1-9
Fort Worth, Texas
This is the BIG ONE! You know, the one you shouldn't miss if there's any way possible for you to be there. It goes on all week with lots of color, fun and excitement.
High recommendations if you can't see it all:
Calf Roping on Friday, Nov 1
All the excitement, all the speed and all the talent. If you don't have anyone in particular you're there to cheer for, feel free to cheer for one of our members - Karen Grimm and her horses from Black Horse Ranch (yeah, you know, the darn halter horses that never do anything but stand there... ;-P) Go Karen!
The roping will be followed by Trail Classes, which are always interesting!
Sunday, Nov 2 - Cutting in the morning, Driving and Reining in the evening. You just haven't seen flash until you see spots out there!
Tuesday, Nov. 5 -
Cheer on another regular around these parts, Breezeta will be there with her weanling filly, One Cool Kiss in Non-Pro Weanling Fillies. Then after the halter classes, there's yearling longeline. See our future performance horses showing their stuff. This class is historically HUGE so grab a bite to eat before it starts!
Wednesday, Nov 6 - Take your choice!
Hunter and equitation over fences will be happening in the John Justin Arena, followed by Non-Pro longeline.
Then in the Watt Arena you have the exciting Nez Perce Stake races and Keyhole races - something you will only find with the Appaloosas! Come watch as the best of the best gaming horses race each other in heats to see who really is the Best of the Best!
Then on Thursday, cheer on the gamers in the final Stake Races, and then hang around to cheer my boy Bubba Moon in the 2 Year old Halter Stallions!
***Now, if you can only make one day, Friday is that day!***
More specifically, Friday evening. There's a catch though! Bring a new toy, as the Marine's will be collecting Toys for Tots at the door. Come early, because every time I've gone this performance ended up being Standing Room only! Friday night is the Most Colorful in Halter class - and its usually HUGE with tons of spots - followed by Freestyle Reining.
Trust me - its well worth making a kid happy with a new toy :)
Have fun!
