The miniatures are not that different than their larger cousins as far as confirmation. What the majority of the judges at the shows are looking for now are: small/pretty head with a big eye, long archy neck, good round hip, straight legs and good bite. The best advise I could give you would be to go to a few shows and see what the judges are picking. Then, while you are there, talk with some of the breeders and trainers. I have been in the miniature horse industry since 1988 and believe me when we first started, we asked the same question. I would be happy to answer any further questions you may have. Good Luck!!
