hi everyone,

i am considered a good rider by everyone i know... and would love to one day get to rated hunter shows in my area, but right now doing show miledge in un rated schooling shows..but find in most of those rated shoes horses in the show are upwards from 20-40k and are mostly warmblood types.now i have a 4 yr old 14.2 large pony mare(appy/QH x) that has tons of potential to take me to the top,but i feel like once i get to that level i will feel lost even in the pony classes with the $$$$$$$ horses.not to toot my own horn or anything i feel i will do great in rated shows,so with all this said.how does one get to the top in rated H/J shows with out access or money for a top bred ,expensive horse?isn't talent and partnership with your horse enough
