: Hi ya'll, is there anyone here that can give me some tips on how to help my daughter set her horse up for showmanship, and tell me how to correctly teach him to pivot? What exactly is the judge looking for, what will get you extra "brownie" points, what's the cardinal sins?
: Be gentle, we are new to this Showmanship stuff.

Hi, my friend shows showmanship and I watch the classes I show hunt seat. The toes on the front feet should be like this ( (
The back feet also not together close and not streched ( (
out just naturally. Pivoting ALWAYS turn your horse away from you the back feet should stay in exactly the same place. (It willl take awhile) Lots of work ! will make an awesome horse. Your brownie points come from being sharp show the judges you care. Be very snappy and really show your horse. when the judge is on one side your on the other except when the judge is at the hind quaters you are on the same side as them when they step past the barrel of the horse you better be on the other side paying attention and showing them you care will get you far. Good luck hope I helped you.
