We keep long manes in big loose braids, that seems to help. Tails i dont TOUCH unless i'm getting ready for a show or they look awful, that way no hairs get broken in the grooming process. Thats what WE do, but most of our horses have short manes, they're always braided for shows.

Hope that helps a TAD,
Piaffe

:I have Pasos with very long manes & tails. What is the best way to keep them long and healthy? Please let me know what works for you.....any recipes or products will be very welcome. Thanks!
