They do grow fast though! Even my babies from this year seem to be growing bigger every day. And my yearling, she's a tall as her momma already and still growing. Just have to enjoy the foals while they are little! I remember when I started college and had to leave my older mare at home so I could take my then 2 year old app with me. Broke my heart not having ol' Dolly with me. So I took on two jobs to be able to have her up there with me. Made for little sleep, and many adventures, LOL! But I'd have done the same thing no matter how many times I was given the chance over. Now a days its still hard on me when I sell one or even send one to a trainer! They are my babies :) I think it will be easier for me to send my kids off to college than it is to send one of my horses away...of course, even my orneriest horses don't get into as much trouble and mischief as my kids do! Why thank you very much :) Yes, those are my appies, we have about 10 apps all told, then one that is my father-in-laws and 3 AQHA's. They keep us busy! But I love it.
