My 20 yr old gelding (whom I have owned for the past 12 years) has recently begun to yawn about 6 or 7 times in a row after i dismount. i dont work him hard at all, so i doubt that he is really tired. He has his teeth check by an equine dentist once a year, and dentist performs whatever work is neccessary (he was last checked approx.6 months ago).
Can you tell me what may cause a horse to yawn like this? He isnt exhibiting any other syptoms that are unusual.
