:Hi. I have a quick question. I have an older (18 - 20 yr old) Throughbred gelding who is having a harder time getting around these days. Can I give him human glucosamine? If so, how much can he have? Thanks for taking the time to answer!!!

Human glucosamine should be ok, and beneficial to your horse. There are differences in concentration and bioavailibility of the products on the market. Generally speaking, you should follow the manufacturers recommendations for dosing a product. Glucosamines provide some basic building blocks for healthy cartilage.
