Don't you hate it when your mind only remembers half the facts ;)

It is true, the wormer is Pyrantel Pamoate (most often known as Strongid) and it is for tapeworms. How often depends on the incidence of tape worms in your area of the world. In most US areas, its recommended to double-dose with Strongid once or twice a year. Ask your vet what he/she recommends, they would be most familiar with the parasite problems in your area!
