:There was a case of WNV reported less than 30 miles from where I live! The horse was confirmed to have WNV and had to be euthanized. Just a week or 2 ago, there were 2 horses at the Missouri state fair that had to be put down from this disease, and now it seems to be spreading north to our neck of the woods. Needless to say, I popped my 3 kids with their first dose of vaccine yesterday, and will have to booster them in 14 days...This is really scary stuff!!

Yuck! That is scary. We did all of ours this year, and I have two that need boostering in another week and then when we wean the babies we'll get them. Someone on the Q4V boards back at PCF before the move said something about a case in a dog? I haven't comfirmed that one yet but I have a feeling this is not going to be a fun virus to manage!
