I just haven't gotten around to it.
I just suffered a terrible loss as well. A mare that I have had since I was a young girl who was just about to turn 30 passed away violently on Saturday. She is the one who taught me to jump... she soared like an eagle. My mother bought her for me shortly after I lost my Wimpy. She was a gorgeous, athletic, trustworthy yet full of fire, powerful yet careful, wonderful mare. She earned her ROM, she carried around my brother and sisters and my kids as she got older. She is the one who I had the most history with, we had a lot of great years together. You name it and she and I most likely tried it.
I was there when she died and I will never forget it... it was horrible. She had violent and unexplained seizures just all of a sudden. She hadn't even been sick. I am still just in shock over the whole thing. I loved her so, so much and I will always miss her.
I hope my post isn't too non-sensical. I know that I am rambling but I figured you guys being horse lovers would understand my loss.
